The second day of the trip will go forward to kedarnath via sonprayg - gaurikund & breakfast will enroute. the jeep will taken by you for reach in gaurikund. the gaurikund is a Lake where the hot water exist. It is very pious place and the epic says that Mata Parvati came to take a bath at this lake, thats why their is a temple formed which is dedicated to Mata Gauri. Many people came here to visit the place and go further to the trek of kedarnath. from sonprayg is will take 5-6kms and than the trek of kedarnath will start. The onfoot way is very tough to walk all the area are of ganger and wavy. It is in the coast of Mandakini river. for kedarnath temple you have to go 18km on foot on upward direction. In the main temple there are many idols of pandavs, draupadi and the sage Adishankaracharya. on the midlle of the main temple thier is a shivling which is supposed to be very sacred pilgrimage and come on the 12 jyotrilingas situated in India. The whole area of kedar nath is surrounded by the three mounts kedar kund (22000foot), Kharchkund (21600foot), Bharatkund (22000foot). The main temple is 85ft high, 187ft wide & 12ft thick and is made of by katyuri shaili.
