Gangotri Yamunotri Yatra Day Wise Itinerary

• Day : 01 Haridwar - Barkot (190 km / 06 hrs)

  The first day will start from haridwar railway station. the journey will go forward via mussoorie & lakhmandal. The tour will take the visitations of the 'fairyland' situated in between the Doon valley and shivalik ranges named as mussoorie. It is just 90 kms distant from haridwar. This is the most famous and people loving place to visit in uttarakhand. After visiting all the places the tour will proceed to barkot and check in into hotel rooms and spend a comfortable night.

• Day : 02 Barkot - Yamnotri - Barkot (48 km / 02 hrs & start trek 5 km each side)

  The day will start by the cup of tea and with the wonderful scenory from your hotel room's window. Have yummy breakfast and prepare for yourself for drive to yamunotri. The drive will wait in the area of hanuman chatti 13km near to yamunotri then jankichatti which is 7km distant from yamunotri. In the route yoy'll gonna see the dodital which is a mysterious lake, where the lord ganesha had took birth. After trekking after reaching at yamunotri you will see the Divya silla which is a rock pillar. The main temple is dedicated to mata yami. And there are two kunds named as surya kund (1900degree F) and saptrishi kund which is a greyish blue water bank source of river yamuna.

  After visit all the places come back to the barkot hotel rooms and have a dinner and take a rest at overnight.

• Day : 03 Barkot - Uttarkashi (100 km / 04 hrs)

  The third morrow of the trip will at barkot have the breakfast and get ready to go for uttarakashi. On the way you will see the shivagufa which is located at the mahargaon. there are the ice idols of lord shiva, ganesha, trishul, lotus, and many others. The shiva gufa contains only 4 people in one visiting and the sounds of river and flowing water will resound there. The night will spend by you in uttarakshi. You can also visit the vishwanath temple at uttrakashi town. It is an ancient temple in this spot. Evening of the temple will resound the bells sounds, chanting mantras and arties by the pundits in the temple. there is also another temple named as shakti temple which is based on the goddess of power. There is a trident which was made by the the king Guh who was the great warrior. After visit come back to the hotel rooms have dinner and take sleep.

• Day : 04 Uttarkashi - Gangotri - Uttarkashi (100 Km / 03 to 04 hrs each side)

  This day of the trip will take you to the second pilgramge Gangotri. Gangotri is an origin of holy river ganga. The ganga river is one of the most sacred river bank in india. Many stories are heard by the ancestors and the hindu epics. This place is very pious and there is a huge temple which is dedicated to Ganga Maiyan. There is a big rock which is named as Bhagirath shila where the king bhagirath had done penance to call ganga maiyan in earth. The main origin of ganga river is 18km far from gangotri and is known as gaumukh. It is named as gaumukh because the source of the river is shaped like a mouth of a cow. The beautiful flora and faun awill mesmerise you. There is a cave named as Pandu gufa which is dedicated to shrine king Bhagiratha. After having all the visitations come back to uttarakashi hotel rooms have dinner and then sleep.

• Day : 05 Uttarkashi - Haridwar (200 km / 08 to 09 hrs)

  This morning will make you little sad because it will be the day of the trip. Have the breakfast and get ready for going back to your birthplace. our team will transfer you to haridwar.
